Dell FW25F PERC H345 12Gbps PCIe 3.0 (x8) RAID Controller for 14th / 15th Gen Dell Servers - New Pull
The Dell PERC H345 is a high-performance internal RAID controller from the PERC 10 series, designed for deployment in modern 14th/15th-generation Dell PowerEdge servers. It provides a 12 Gb/s-capable SAS interface and supports both SAS and SATA drives, enabling tiered storage configurations in cost-sensitive yet reliable server environments.
Key Features & Benefits
- 12 Gb/s SAS interface: The H345 is compatible with 12 Gb/s SAS drives—and is backward-compatible with 6 Gb/s SATA/SAS and 3 Gb/s SATA/SAS devices—ensuring flexibility and future-proofing.
- High port density: Supports up to 16 internal drive ports (via two mini-SAS 2×8 internal connectors) on compatible systems without SAS expander; larger counts possible subject to platform/backplane.
- Support for key RAID levels: Optimized for entry/medium RAID workloads—it supports RAID 0, RAID 1 and RAID 10 configurations. (It does not support RAID 5 or RAID 6) according to its spec table.
- Non-RAID (pass-through) capability: Allows disks to be presented as non-RAID to the host OS (i.e., JBOD style) when needed, giving deployment flexibility.
- Dell storage management integration: Fully manageable via Dell’s iDRAC, OpenManage, and other embedded utilities—making it straightforward to configure, monitor and update.
- Power-management features: Includes “Dimmer Switch™” technology (on Dell’s spec sheet) to reduce power usage of configured/unconfigured idle disks, helping optimize total cost of ownership.
- Enterprise-quality device compatibility: Specifically designed for use in Dell PowerEdge servers, with tested compatibility and firmware support from Dell.
