The Dell PowerEdge C6100 is a hyperscale-inspired building block for high-performance cluster computing, Web 2.0 and cloud builders.

Find inside: Four independent nodes feature dual Intel® Xeon® 5500/5600 series quad- and hex-core processors. Slots include: 12 DDR3 memory, a x16 PCI Express generation 2 and a x8 PCI Express mezzanine slot. Includes dual-port embedded gigabit Ethernet, and an integrated IPMI 2.0 BMC with a dedicated RJ45 connection. Available with up to 12 x 3.5” or 24 x 2.5” hotplug SAS, SATA or SSD drives.

Along with that capacity and flexibility, the PowerEdge C6100 high-efficiency fans and power supplies are shared across nodes, saving space and weight to create one of the most eco-friendly designs yet.

It has front mounted 3.5” or 2.5” hot-plug hard drive options; up to four discrete 2-socket nodes; x 16 PCIe slot and x8 mezzanine slot expansion options; IPMI 2.0 BMC for remote management; and single node serviceability. Together, these options enable the PowerEdge C6100 to easily adapt to a wide variety of workloads.
