HP's latest generation 10K RPM 2.5 inch (SFF) Enterprise Hard Disk Drives (MBB Series) continue to represent a leading edge design with best of class performance and reliability. Offering a Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) interface and a 16MB buffer, performance is certainly not compromised by the physical size (70% smaller than it's bigger brother).
With design advantages ranging from lower power consumption (up to 50% reduction over conventional 3.5"), a smaller form factor that reduces system cooling requirements, low acoustics, redundant data paths and an interface design featuring scalability, hot plugability, simplified cabling (less conductors,less space,more air flow)and a common infrastructure which supports SATA .
