The Mellanox® MFS1S00-H020E is a QSFP56 VCSEL-based (Vertical Cavity Surface-Emitting Laser) active optical cable (AOC) designed for use in 200Gb/s InfiniBand HDR systems. This AOC offers high port density, configurability, and a significantly longer reach compared to passive copper cables in data centers. Its hot-pluggable design ensures easy installation and replacement.
The MFS1S00-H020E features a standard SFF-8665 compliant QSFP56 port on the electrical side connected to the host system. Each end contains four multi-mode fiber (MMF) optic transceivers, each capable of data rates up to 50Gb/s. It provides selectable retiming per lane for both optical transmitters and receivers, supporting rates up to 50Gb/s.
