Quantum's new Atlas III hard disk drives are the best you can buy for high- volume enterprise servers and RAID subsystems. With capacities of 9.1 GB, and 18.2 GB, you now get double the capacity at the high end.
Performance has also been increased with a new "best-in-its-class" 7.8 ms average seek time, 12 MB/second average sustained transfer rate, and large 1 MB cache buffer. Plus, you have a choice of interfaces: Ultra SCSI and Ultra2 SCSI (LVD).
