Dell Powervault 660F Fibre Channel Storage Array / SAN Head Unit - 14 Bays - UsedAt the centre of this next-generation SAN is the Dell PowerVault 660F, a new rack-optimized storage array based on Fibre Channel technology for fast data transfer and advanced data protection features. The new system will co-exist with the current Dell PowerVault 650F to offer new SAN customers compelling price-per-megabyte value. With over seven terabytes of storage capacity in one standard rack, the PowerVault 660F offers one of the most rack dense options in the industry. The PowerVault 660F also offers improved application performance across networks, uninterrupted access to data, fast backup with advanced disaster protection, and data management capabilities.
The innovative design of the PowerVault 660F, composed of 14 Fibre Channel disk drives in its own rack-optimized, single 3U (1U=1.75 inches) enclosure, offers configuration flexibility, allowing customers to scale their storage systems easily to accommodate future growth. Combine with Dell's PowerVault 530F SAN appliance released last September, customers can start small and grow their SAN with additional, enterprise-class data protection features as their business needs change. These features include storage virtualization for more efficient allocation and management of storage assets, remote and three-way mirroring, and the ability to boot from the SAN for easy replacement of failed servers.
The product has been removed from a working system (e.g. server). These products vary in their usage due to age of system & type of service etc.. However, Used System Pulls are fully tested and all handling is performed by trained technicians, taking full ESD precautions.
